In a word, Microsoft SharePoint Online is enterprise-grade. I recommend Office 365, which includes SharePoint Online for businesses of all sizes who are looking for an enterprise grade mail and office suite.
Microsoft SharePoint Online is a collaboration suite, with features to store and manage documents, information, people, and provides access to your team.
Before you choose Microsoft SharePoint Online, here are the key things you need to know.
First, Support. Microsoft offer very high levels of support for Office 365, however it does vary based on your region, how much you pay, and who the service is provided through. Make sure you choose your Microsoft implementation partners carefully, and look at the level of support.
Second, class-leading data security. Microsoft have pulled out all of the stops with security - meeting ISO27001, FISMA, HIPAA BAA and the EU Model Clauses. The solution is independently audited and certified. We have reviewed Microsoft’s security controls, and they are absolutely world-class.
Finally, consider support for different platforms. Microsoft SharePoint Online works best with a full Microsoft environment - including desktops and browsers. If you are using other desktop or mobile environments, or different browsers, it is likely to work, but make sure you test the user experience and integration carefully, and make sure your technology is supported.
Welcome to the new way to work together. The next version of SharePoint introduces new ways to share your work and work with others, organize your projects and teams and discover people and information.
