Ultimate Software are clearly a strong vendor with their heart in the right place. I really like them - they’ve got a good product, they focus on doing the right thing by customers, and they have proven good security.
UltiPro Enterprise is a full HR suite - they cover Payroll (at least in North America), HR and talent management.
Before you choose UltiPro Enterprise, here are the key things you need to know
First, a North American focus. Especially when it comes to Payroll, Ultimate Software really focus on the North American market… UltiPro is less well-known in the rest of the world, which is a real shame because they produce good software.
Second, we’ve heard good things about how UltiPro is easy-to-use, and all of the pieces work well together. You’ll probably want to implement it as a whole package, and not just module-by-module, like you would with some other competitors software.
Third, good quality security, that meets standards. UltiPro meet ISO27001 - my favourite standard, and the international standard for Information Security. This is really something to look for, and not many vendors meet it.
Fourth, service levels are good - and UltiPro target 99.9% uptime, which is one of the best in the industry. Support is available 24x7, and they engage with customers online really well. I’m happy - because this is really important.
UltiPro is a great solution, that deserves to be popular. They fit a niche pretty well - so if you’re 1,000-5,000 staff, based in the US or Canada, and you want an entire HR suite all at once, UltiPro should definitely be on your shortlist.
